​There is a  Māori proverb, “Naku te rourou, nau te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi,” translates to “With your basket and my basket, the people will thrive.” It emphasises the importance of collaboration and shared effort.

The idea is that when everyone contributes their unique strengths, resources, and knowledge (symbolised by their "baskets"), the collective outcome is greater and more successful. It’s a call for partnership, teamwork, and mutual support to create a stronger and more vibrant community or organisation.
